                             Railroad Jack

Riley  Lincoln
West Palm Beach FL
August 2010

Take me down the track, Jack
  And never bring me back
Old dirty face is the only way I have to travel
Take me down the track, Jack
We will never go back

It's snowing and it's really cold
I have no coat to call my own
Please get on a train heading south
Where the sand is warm and the alligators roam
Please, Jack, get us down the track
I don't ever want to come back

I know my eyes can't see, Jack
I will hold on to your leash real tight
Just take us down the track, Jack
And we will never go back
Take us to the Promised Land...
  Palm trees and lily pads

And I even hear that "Levon"
The dog who lives on the roof
Is on his way
He is riding the Santa Fe
Take me down the track, Jack
  We will never go back

Jack, it's not out of reach
We can make it to West Palm Beach
Jack, I feel the warmth
Jack, I feel the warm ocean breeze
I can see the blue rolling seas

We made it down the track, Jack
We made it down the track...(pause)...Jack
