Sea of Tequila
Riley Lincoln
West Palm Beach FL
November 2011
The good Lord walked on the water
I walked on a sea of tequila
Until I fell through
Then I found you
We jumped in and drank that sea dry
But I'll tell you what
If the ocean was tequila
And I was a duck
I would dive to the bottom
And never come up
But that ocean ain't tequila
And I'm not a duck
So barmaid, set 'em up
Let's have a few drinks
And play a little Hank
We'll talk about the good old days
When we robbed them banks
All that money we had
How we checked into the Hotel Swank
We ate them steaks without any bones
Sat around and listened to the Stones
We sat there and seen a beautiful
Rainbow in the sky at midnight
I held you real tight
And we watched the most beautiful
Rainbow all night
Then "black lightning" flashed
All over the sky
And you ran into the darkness
Without saying good-bye
Jump on your horse
And ride real hard
North to El Paso
Don't look back
Because the federales are right behind
And they won't be kind
NOTE: Beautiful rainbows at midnight
Black lightning flashing across sky
Pour another tequila
